             abstract = "This paper describes a methodology capable to detect automatically 
                         land use/land cover changes based on two Landsat/TM images. Such 
                         detection uses temporal profiles of NOAA/AVHRR reflectances of 
                         each land cover type during one year. By identifying the diference 
                         among these temporal profiles using one TM image as reference, it 
                         is possible to detect in a new TM image which pixels classes have 
                         changed. In this way, an automatic new classification is 
                         produced.",
